Diving Courses
Diving courses according to CMAS (up to gold) and PADI (up to Divemaster) are offered. You can book individual training or training in very small groups, in German, English, Dutch, Italian or Greek.
During the dives, children (from 3 years on) will be taken care of at the diving base or on the boat directly. The favorable position of the diving base directly on the beach is of great advantage. One of the attractions of the island is the endangered Caretta Caretta turtle which has been coming to Zakynthos for millions of years to lay its eggs. With some luck it can be seen during the dive. This also applies to the rare seal species Monachus Monachus that lives on the southwest coast of Zakynthos.
The up to 15 different diving spots (of up to max. 40 meters in depth), which the boat goes to several times per day, are characterized by huge rocks, enormous cage systems, dark grottos, and archways flooded with light. A great variety of species can be observed in the crystal-clear water in the crevices, cavities and between the piles of rocks which are covered with red vegetation.
During just one dive, morays, octopuses, lesser slipper lobsters and other lobsters can be observed. But the permanent companions of each dive, the wrasses, rainbow wrasses and damselfishes, are not to be sneezed at either. The enormous range of vision of up to 50m is appropriate for wonderful underwater photos.
Some diving spots require two or three dives in order to see all the attractions. All diving spots are suitable for dives according to the required training level. This is particularly interesting for the courses offered by the diving base.
